French toast roll-ups are an easy recipe like a normal french toast but with a filling twist. They are the best fix for a sweet or savoury breakfast. Do read the other filling options to customize this recipe to your flavour

Ingredients

  • 4 White Bread Slices
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tsp Milk
  • 1 tbsp Sugar (powdered)
  • 1 tbsp Butter (for toast)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla optional
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon powder optional
  • Maple syrup / honey optional

Instructions

Soak it here before toasting

  • Beat egg and milk together with a fork.
  • Add vanilla to it. it's optional

Roll up's on the roll!

  • Trim the sides of the white bread slices
  • Roll them gently with the rolling pin. It gets extended but shouldn't tear.
  • Add the filling at the one edge and gently roll, roll, roll.

Toast time

  • In a hot Tawa, add a tbsp of butter and toast both sides of the roll at low heat

final touch with the magic dust

  • dust the cinnamon sugar dust over the toast roll-ups and serve hot
  • Powder sugar and cinnamon together and keep it aside. Alternatively, you can also use powdered cinnamon with icing sugar
